The Future is Bright: Delaware Football Secures 19 Signings in Early Window for the Class of 2026

The Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens ink 19 high school signings in their second FBS recruiting class in program history.

(Mikey Reeves, Delaware Athletics)

On the early signing period for the Class of 2026, Delaware Head Coach Ryan Carty and staff secure a total of 19 signings for their second FBS recruiting class in program history. The Fightin’ Blue Hens added at least one high school senior to each offensive and defensive positional group as they look to build momentum from becoming bowl eligible in their first season in Conference USA. The recruiting footprint has expanded over the past few recruiting classes, the Class of 2026 arriving from 9 different states (Florida 5, New Jersey 5, Pennsylvania 2, Virginia 2, Delaware 1, Maryland 1, New York 1, Connecticut 1, Georgia 1).

With that, let’s jump into learning more about each future Blue Hen below.

Tyler Bell

Position: Quarterback
Height/Weight: 6’1″, 190
High School: St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City, New Jersey)
Prospect Ranking: Three Stars (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: UMass, Buffalo, Lehigh, Rhode Island, Albany, Princeton, Georgetown, Wofford
Quick Thoughts: Just a week before National Signing Day, Tyler flipped his commitment from UMass to Delaware. When you watch his film, he looks comfortable ripping deep balls, with both accuracy and power standing out. He also set the school record in career passing touchdowns in October. He can step out and run it efficiently as well. You can tell his game and further development will be a match made in heaven for Ryan Carty’s offense, one that values explosive plays.

NaKeem Powell

Position: Running Back
Height/Weight: 6’0″, 190
High School: Winslow Township (Atco, New Jersey)
Prospect Ranking:
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Syracuse, East Carolina, Lehigh, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Monmouth, Maine, Villanova, Howard, Fordham, Long Island, Wofford
Quick Thoughts: NaKeem has the downfield threat to expose defenses as both a runner and a receiver. He excels at both running between the tackles and beyond the hashes, but his route running ability out of the backfield and out wide makes him a perfect fit for what Delaware looks for in their running backs.

Carson Griffin

Position: Wide Receiver
Height/Weight: 6’2″, 180
High School: A. Crawford Mosley (Lynn Haven, Florida)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Florida International, Coastal Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Northern Illinois, Austin Peay
Quick Thoughts: Carson’s versatility in route running was the biggest thing I took away from his senior offensive film. Every single route was highlighted for positive yards: go, fade, corner, slant, post, flat, and screen/bubble screen concepts. His speed in open space was hard to miss, but my favorite part was seeing how he can set the edges as a run blocker.

Tae’Sean Robinson

Position: Wide Receiver
Height/Weight: 6’0″, 185
High School: Sumner (Riverview, Florida)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Wake Forest, South Florida, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Liberty, Toledo, Buffalo, Appalachian State, Rhode Island, Howard, Bethune-Cookman
Quick Thoughts: Tae’Sean was a touchdown machine at Sumner. His ability to win outside 1-on-1 matchups stretched their offense downfield. With that, plus him showcasing his strengths in open field as a returner, should find a great home in a Delaware offense that likes to use a lot of wide receivers on gameday.

Rowen Walsh

Position: Tight End
Height/Weight: 6’5″, 240
High School: Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, Maryland)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: West Virginia, Memphis, Liberty, UConn, Tulane, Charlotte, Kent State, Bowling Green, Towson, Richmond
Quick Thoughts: Receiver skills at his size jumps off the screen. Rowen was a chain-moving blanket for Good Counsel both in the slot and in an inline position. I see Walsh being able to develop early in an offense that uses 12 personnel more often than people realize.

Collier Book

Position: Offensive Line
Height/Weight: 6’5″, 260
High School: Central Dauphin (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Lehigh, Stony Brook, Cornell, Penn, Richmond, Towson, Dartmouth, Fordham
Quick Thoughts: A two-way player in the trenches that showed power blocking on the interior. A solid frame that will develop inside the blocking department. Reminds me of Fintan Brose when he came out of Hempfield Area in 2020. We know Coach Rogers develops offensive linemen to play across the line, but I see Collier developing as a guard.

Brandon Truszkowski

Position: Offensive Line
Height/Weight: 6’7″, 315
High School: Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, Pennsylvania)
Prospect Ranking: N/A
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Temple, New Hampshire, Stony Brook, Maine, Bryant
Quick Thoughts: Fantastic size as a high school senior. Experience blocking at both tackle positions and on the interior. High school defensive lines couldn’t move off his set block at all from his film. At his size and length, I view Brandon developing as a tackle on the Delaware offensive line.

Miles Muldrow

Position: Offensive Line
Height/Weight: 6’5″, 270
High School: Franklin Township (Somerset, New Jersey)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: West Virginia, Liberty, Tulane, James Madison, UConn, Temple, Buffalo, Monmouth, New Hampshire, Towson, Georgetown, Fordham, Bryant
Quick Thoughts: This is a positive connotation of this word: Miles is a bully in the trenches. Not only can he hold his first block, but he can run out and get to the second and third levels of the defense and keep the play alive. Miles mostly played as the blindside blocker at left tackle in high school, but I think he will be a plug-and-play on this offensive line for years to come.

Jaiden Edwards

Position: Offensive Line
Height/Weight: 6’5″, 295
High School: Courtland (Fredericksburg, Virginia)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Liberty, Old Dominion, Marshall
Quick Thoughts: The first surprise of National Signing Day. Jaiden was a two-way player at Courtland and in my opinion, his play on the defensive side of the ball showcased his athleticism to develop into a strong addition in the offensive trenches. This is a big time addition for the program in their pursuit to strengthen the trenches now in FBS.

Cristian Alvarez

Position: Offensive Line
Height/Weight: 6’4″, 295
High School: St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, New Jersey)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Temple, UMass, Coastal Carolina, Navy, Army, Air Force, Marshall, Harvard, Yale, Rhode Island, Penn, Cornell, Lafayette, Fordham, Georgetown, New Hampshire, Dartmouth, Stony Brook, Bryant, Lehigh, Wofford, Bucknell, Towson, Richmond
Quick Thoughts: Cristian was the second UMass flip in the fall season, a priority for the staff to round out the offensive line class. The best way for me to describe Cristian’s film is that he just looks clean in both pass and run protection. More times than not, the defender he was blocking ended up in the turf. Another signee that I believe will be able to plug in across the offensive line as he develops.

Noah Frazier

Position: Defensive Line
Height/Weight: 6’3″, 250
High School: Cheshire Academy (Cheshire, Connecticut)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Navy, Army, Air Force, Yale, Brown, Fordham, Richmond, Colgate, Bucknell, Georgetown
Quick Thoughts: Played at Cheshire as an end on a three-man front. Gap sound in his assignments on both the run and the pass. Noah showed several times of reading the quarterbacks’ eyes to get a hand up and deflect passes when a ball is thrown his direction. Also played on the interior of the offensive line.

Christian Corbin

Position: Defensive Line
Height/Weight: 6’2″, 290
High School: Warwick (Newport News, Virginia)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Maryland, Wake Forest, James Madison, Liberty, Old Dominion, Appalachian State, East Carolina, Ohio, Charlotte, Marshall, Elon, Campbell
Quick Thoughts: Christian is a true havoc creator in the backfield. Very athletic for his size, which is why he was heavily recruited out of Warwick High School. I have a feeling that Blue Hen fans will love Christian’s game on the Trench Mob very early on.

Wayne Cunningham

Position: Linebacker
Height/Weight: 6’2″, 220
High School: Clearwater (Clearwater, Florida)
Prospect Ranking: N/A
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Troy, Toledo, Florida International, East Carolina, Central Michigan, Buffalo, Rhode Island, Howard
Quick Thoughts: The first thing in Wayne’s tape that stood out to me is his pursuit in the run game. He is also an efficient blitzer, which Manny Rojas’s side likes to break out in their 3-3-5 base structure. An elite north/south tackler in the heart of the defense.

Demarco Daniels

Position: Linebacker
Height/Weight: 6’2″, 211
High School: Eastside (Gainesville, Florida)
Prospect Ranking: N/A
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: UNLV, Arkansas State, Sacramento State, Central Michigan, Charleston Southern
Quick Thoughts: The first time I watched Demarco when Delaware offered him in May, I saw him perfectly fitting into the bandit role in the middle of the 3-3-5 defense. Navigating through his senior film now, Demarco is an athlete that can fit in many places within the defense in my opinion. For Eastside, he played a lot of time as the MIKE and showed his ability to read the quarterback in passing developments.

Joseph Zamot

Position: Linebacker
Height/Weight: 6’0″, 220
High School: Lawrenceville School (Lawrenceville, New Jersey)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Army, Monmouth, William & Mary, Penn, Maine, Wofford
Quick Thoughts: Joseph can make an impact in both the pass and the run. He creates havoc in the backfield, but also steps out in passing coverage in the middle of the field. Someone who has a good play recognition twitch and someone who I believe will stand for everything the program preaches.

Kevin Moore

Position: Defensive Back
Height/Weight: 6’1″, 190
High School: St. Anthony’s (South Huntington, New York)
Prospect Ranking: N/A
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Long Island
Quick Thoughts: Kevin was the first 2026 verbal commitment in early March, so his junior-to-senior film is probably the longest time apart from my viewings. As a junior, I always knew he was a big-time playmaker in open space, but this year he stood out in the backfield as a tackler and blitzer. It will be interesting to see which safety spot the defensive staff develops him at: jack, field, or rover. If I’m taking a guess: I see him developing on the boundary in the jack role.

Dorian Rutledge

Position: Defensive Back
Height/Weight: 6’2″, 180
High School: Middletown (Middletown, Delaware)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Duke, Pittsburgh, Boston College, UConn, Temple, Liberty, Old Dominion, Akron, UMass, Charlotte, Buffalo, Delaware State, Towson
Quick Thoughts: Dorian has spent time at Middletown as both a free safety and corner but focused his senior season outside. He excelled in both man and zone coverages, showcasing his ability to be a ball magnet with 4 interceptions. I can see him being able to make an impact immediately, hopefully continuing the Middletown-to-Newark pipeline that the program has found recent success in with Anwar O’neal and Kedrick Whitehead Jr.

Trenton Gummer

(Photo by: Zac Stinson, Ranger Magazine)

Position: Defensive Back
Height/Weight: 5’10”, 175
High School: Bishop Moore Catholic (Orlando, Florida)
Prospect Ranking: 3-Star (247, Rivals)
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Wake Forest, Liberty, Navy, Army, Southern Miss, Western Michigan, Old Dominion, Missouri State, Marshall, UMass, Harvard, Charlotte, Lehigh, Rhode Island, Penn, Cornell, Furman, Dartmouth, Howard, Wofford, Richmond, Brown, Bethune-Cookman, Georgetown, Fordham, Bucknell, Colgate
Quick Thoughts: Trenton does a little bit of everything: he can defend both in the slot and outside, he can defend both the run and the pass, he can tackle in open field and in the backfield, and he can force turnovers. Everything you can ask for in a defensive back. In his film, he looks like a player that just knows how to put himself in the right positions on the field. I also have to point out how impressive Bishop Moore’s sky cam is… it was a fun way to watch.

Dannell Jester Jr.

Position: Defensive Back
Height/Weight: 6’0″, 185
High School: Thomas County Central (Thomasville, Georgia)
Prospect Ranking: N/A
Highlights: Link
Other Reported Offers: Oregon State, Liberty, Jacksonville State, Arkansas State, Southern Miss, South Alabama, Old Dominion, East Carolina, Georgia State, Charlotte, Wagner, Bryant, Howard, Charleston Southern
Quick Thoughts: Dannell was the last of the three surprise additions in the early signing window, joining the back end of a defense that utilizes three safeties at almost all times. Jester has been on visits to Newark this fall and it was a fun surprise to see him put pen-to-paper before announcing a personal verbal commitment. He can step into the box and make a tackle in the run game, while also being able to make a play deep downfield in the pass game.
